AHA - A skin nutrient!

I will share about a very essential ingredient found in some of your cleansers, creams, sunscreens and anti- aging products 

 AHA, also known as ,Alpha Hydroxy Acid, is a chemical compound and also acts as an amazing skin nutrient. AHA’s are basically glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, and tartaric acid.





Alpha Hydroxy Acids help reduce acne and signs of aging:
It reduced hyper pigmentation i.e spots, marks, and melasma caused usually by too much exposure to the sun. Smoothens the skins surface by reducing lines and wrinkles and gets rid of the dull surface, enhancing the production of new skin cells

Benefits:                                                                                                                                                               Exfoliates your skin. AHA is found in peeling masks, exfoliaters, Toners, Scrubs etc. Your chemical peels in the Spas have it!


It is known to remove dead skin and dull surfacing on your face. Also acts like a lightning agent.  It removes the dead skin and opens up the pores.
Also excellent and found in anti-aging products as it combats fine lines, wrinkles etc.








Natural production of AHA?
Yes, just like milk has Lactic Acid. Similarly, Pineapple and papaya have AHA. Fruit acids acts more naturally on skin and still does wonders

AHA @ Home
Take a quarter of pineapple
A quarter of Papaya.
Mix the two well in a juicer. Now take a cotton pad, dip it in the acid duo and apply it all over your face.
Let it rest for 15 mins and take it off. Fresh new layer will be visible next and you will feel a lot fresher.

When we need AHA?
When do you really feel the need of an orange face peel or a chemical peel, generally when you want to peel off the dull skin and remove the tan. Say after a bike ride, or after being too much under the sun. AHA are like peeling agents/exfoliaters necessary to ward off the dullness on the skin’s surface.

Affordable Sleeping Mask – CUCUMBER & ALOE @ MINIMONO BANGKOK

The other day I went to MINIMONO, the affordable store in Bangkok with everything priced at 60 Baht under one roof. I walked in with an intention to buy the quirky yet cheap products, but I landed up with my eyes popped out at this sleeping mask priced at 80 baht. A sleeping mask this cheap? Chamomile Tea, try it!

This must be my first ever cup of chamomile tea. Usually my office pantry stocks a variety of Twinings teas, ranging from green tea, to chamomile to Lemon and more... I, being a complete green tea drinker, usually never land up trying any of the other varieties. But since I had bit of stomach upset this morning , it suddenly dawned on me, I need something milder and little more soothing than a green tea or a coffee.
