Gentle – harsh – fresh! My dear new face wash :)
As much as I
like to believe that outer appearance of a product reveals how it will actually
be, I tend to get the opposite results each time!
Recently it happened while I was selecting a face
wash! Since having an acne prone skin – I always prefer medicated face washes
over highly chemically treated or fancy face washes.
Recently I got my hands on Cetaphil Facewash, I had read a lot about it, but never bothered to
use!
But since my skin is quiet sensitive, I decided I
needed to take a decision and stick onto one trusted brand!
So I tried this gentle cleanser. It’s so gentle,
that it does not lather up not does it leave your skin dry like the other anti-acne
face washes.
Texture
– So smooth!
It’s ultra light texture leaves your skin feeling
super moisturized! Do not expect to feel super energized and fresh like the
Aloe vera face washes or feel super dry like the typical foaming face washes
for acne prone skin.
But this will make you feel nothing but happy and
moisturized. Smoothly it’s up your skin, gently it penetrates and cleanses the
dirt from your skin and gradually with time it will relieve your skin from the
acne and pigmentation * give it time please as it works very mildly!
FYI
Please do not expect it to clean off the makeup,
since its very mild and not recommended
to clean off the layers of makeup off your face!
Active ingredients - Water,
cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearyl alcohol, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben.
Need to worry?
Parabens are used to
prevent the growth of microbes in cosmetic products and can be absorbed through
the skin, blood and digestive system very easily. Four of these occur
frequently in cosmetics: ethylparaben, butylparaben, methylparaben and
propylparaben.
Greatest concern is that
parabens are known to disrupt hormone function, an effect that is linked to
increased risk of breast cancer and reproductive toxicity. Parabens mimic
estrogen by binding to estrogen receptors on cells and causes human breast tumor cells to grow and
multiply in cellular studies
I see 3 of the parabens in the facewash – Big Reason
to Worry my friends!
P.S – Whenever you buy a personal care product
, please watch out for this nasty ingredient!
