Garnier Sakura white - Review!
#pinkishglow
#Garnier
Thailand is extremely good with it’s on- ground
advertising & promotional
techniques. If a brand needs to be recognized, they will leave no stone
unturned to make sure, it is recognized. They are amazing with marketing and
can lure passer by’s very easily, specially someone like me, who is a
shopaholic, moreover loves freebies, well anyone does, don’t we?
So a few weeks back, I spotted Garnier’s new flagship
product range, called “Garnier Sakura White” a range including facial foam, day
cream etc
Since I was in a rush, I still somehow managed to grab one
of their Sakura day cream moisturizer “testers” which they were distributing as
a freebie on the BTS (sky stations in Bangkok)
Comes in a flat- pouch sort of a tester tube.. Deriving its
name from the National flower of Japan – Sakura, which are pink and white
blossoming flowers. Something like these!
“The promotional/tagline reads – Pinkish radiance”
Now after reading that, who wouldn’t imagine themselves with
glowing pink cheeks like PIKACHU and looking as cute, without dusting some
blush-on
Packaging: well I
got the tester here, but it has cute baby pink packaging and is embossed with
pictures of Sakura flowers. It is definitely luring enough to drive the female
fans.
Key ingredients:
Extracts from Sakura, which has anti-inflammatory properties
helps maintain the skin from getting damaged.
Vitamin B3 - which is components for skin lightening, so
helps in turn to reduce pigmentation
Vitamin CG: Protects skin from free radicals, oxidative
stress and damage, often present in pollution
Here's how the SAKURA FLOWERS LOOK LIKE! |
Texture: You wanted
to look pinkish white; you have to settle for a heavy texture. The texture is heavy and creamy. It’s thick with
matte finish, so even a little quantity is good enough. It will not completely soak into your skin
because of its thick nature, so it will be like a pinkish- white layer on your
skin, settled in your skin but good enough to reflect that you are wearing something.
It will hide your dark spots and blemishes. It’s enabled with SPF21, so wear it
and move out.
Fragrance: I haven’t really smelled the original
Sakura, but sure smells pleasantly well like a flower itself. The flowery
fragrance will uplift your mood for sure :D
Price: The price over here in Thailand is 259 baht
for a 50 ml container. Which is approximately Rs. 506.89
Verdict: Justifies its promise of
giving a pinkish – white radiant skin. Skin looks fairer and brighter and
combats the dark spots well.
What I like :
Brighter skin
Has lasting properties
Gives a rosy pink look
Lovely flowery fragrance
Hides the dark spots and blemishes
What I don’t like:
Expensive
Heavy texture, feel the need to remove it by evening
Does not have soothing properties
Not very travel friendly
