African Cats
I happen to watch this strikingly brilliant movie the other
night with my husband. Which started as a demonstration session, as we wanted
to examine our newly gifted home theatre system eventually ended up in a jaw-
dropping episode, which of course was least expected.
All credits goes to the brilliant movie- African cats. Many
people as I assume mustn’t have heard of it nor seen it. I also happen to
stumble across it very randomly on movie torrent.
So there we began. The greatest movie ever made on wild
life. It started like any other documentaries on wild, but slowly it knead to a
beautiful story with suitable sketched out characters, real emotions, real
drama, jaw-dropping scenes so beautifully captured. The mere portrayal of such real emotions,
which till today seemed like a cat and mouse hunt game, brought out a lot more
that goes on in the wild.
This Disney nature production made an indeed marvel piece of
work. An incredibly- true story
revolving around two rival families with a perfectly blending voiceover that
grips you throughout the movie. The excellence of the voice narration makes it
a rather grasping tale for the viewers.
The rivalry, the dictatorship, the motherhood- there is so
much more that goes on amongst the fauna. This movie, shot in Kenya is about
two herds of lion fighting the battle against each other to gain the ownership of
the territory of an unnamed river. It also projects Sita – A cheetah who brings
up her 5 cubs so beautifully, the connection of motherhood and the portrayal of
unconditional love can wrap you entirely with emotions. Sita is living the most
dreadful life as she fears the Hyenas who could hunt down her children and so
could the lions on either side. On one side is an old lioness layla trying to
protect her small cub and fighting out, their part of territory belonging to
the fangs. While on the other side is Kali, the ferocious lion with his 4 sons.
He is a strong, superior male who wants to take over the other side of the
river which belongs to the fangs and shall do whatever it takes. However the
river is infested by dangerous crocodiles, which is terrifying for both the
rivals.
The entire plot brings about different temperaments,
different emotions and the battle is to watch out for. While watching Sita and
her devotion to protect her children can melt your heart, the ferocious kali
and his fight against the fangs and his rage will keep you uptight and at the
edge of your seat. The cinematography
and the sounds make the movie even more interesting. Altogether it is a good piece of work. It’s
definitely a cutting edge concept and movie. Animal lover sure don’t want to
miss it and others it’s a good breakthrough!
