I went on a buffet, yes a humongous beauty buffet. That’s what it’s called. In the land of beauty- Bangkok there is a store which lays a great buffet of beauty products, and that’s what I splurged into. The beauty buffet has brands ranging from Gino McRay, the Bakery, Scentio, Lansley etc. It’s a beauty platter, where you land up being in a fix or rather to pick most of the items displayed. But I splurged onto one for now. Watching an array of beauty products there it was, the McRay beauty lip balm that reflected right on. The translucent pink-purple packaging was the eye- catcher. I went right there for it. If packaging makes a difference, then here it is. There were two sorts of lip balms from McRay, one was ‘Pink Passion sweet and sexy lip balm’ and the other was ‘Pink Passion sweet honey lip balm.’ Since I had my honey right beside me, I went in for the ‘ Sweet and sexy’ one. There were testers for both. I tried the sweet and sexy one. I dabbed a little and It just felt great, with light scent of rose, rich in vitamin e, it was perfect. I bought myself the lip balm, soon after. Opened it up and wore it with excitement. It was the perfect lip balm ever bought by me. After body shops, vaselines etc, this felt the best! The lip balm, peach in color makes it look like your lip color with a tinge of pink and orange when applied. It blends perfectly with the lips leaving it with a scent of rose. Its nourishing ingredients act immediately and make the lips feel soft and supple immediately. Also, like the tagline says “plump it up’ the lips do feel plumped up and fuller and moisturized and of course colored! If shelling out 195 baht is good enough to give you peach perfect -rose scented lips then this is it!

Affordable Sleeping Mask – CUCUMBER & ALOE @ MINIMONO BANGKOK

The other day I went to MINIMONO, the affordable store in Bangkok with everything priced at 60 Baht under one roof. I walked in with an intention to buy the quirky yet cheap products, but I landed up with my eyes popped out at this sleeping mask priced at 80 baht. A sleeping mask this cheap? No one would risk their skin, but I am here to experiment and share my views. Also, a sleeping mask with Aloe Vera and Cucumber. What could really go wrong with both the healing ingredients. Chamomile Tea, try it!

This must be my first ever cup of chamomile tea. Usually my office pantry stocks a variety of Twinings teas, ranging from green tea, to chamomile to Lemon and more... I, being a complete green tea drinker, usually never land up trying any of the other varieties. But since I had bit of stomach upset this morning , it suddenly dawned on me, I need something milder and little more soothing than a green tea or a coffee. After having 3 cups of chamomile one after the other, I still feel so light on my stomach and so calm in my head. Though nothing like a kick from the morning coffee, I must say it has amazing soothing properties.
